ASTER SEW ALONG

The Aster pattern features a square cut front and back neckline, as well as squared off armholes. It has angled French darts and a button-back opening. View A is a crop top hitting around the natural waistline, while View B is a mini shift dress hitting a few inches above the knee. View B also has soft back darts for extra shaping and inseam pockets. All views include a self-facing and an optional full lining.

STEPS 1-4 DARTS

On the first day of the Aster sewalong we will prepare our fabric and sew the bust and back darts.

On day two we will attach the facing to the straps and bodice.

STEPS 11-17 SIDES AND POCKETS

Today we will stitch up the sides of View A and attach the pockets for View B.

We will finish up your Aster today by adding the lining (optional), finishing off the hem, and adding the buttonholes & buttons.
