We are very excited to a new True Bias pattern releasing today, the Aster Top & Dress. The pattern comes in two size ranges - 0-18 and 14-32.
The Aster is the perfect summer pattern for all of those hot days. It has a simple design with a square neckline and armhole, and French darts for shaping. All views have a self facing and an optional full lining.
It comes in two views. View A is a crop top that was designed specifically to pair with some of our other high waisted patterns like the Dani, Mave, Emerson and Lander patterns. Think about making them in the same fabric for the perfect matching set.
View A has a straight fit through the sides and is hemmed around the natural waistline. It has three buttons for a back opening.
View B is a mini shift dress that is hemmed a few inches about the knee.
It has a straight fit through the waist and hips with some soft darts along the back for some subtle shaping.
View B also has inseam pockets and 8 buttons down the back.
The Aster is labeled as a confident beginner pattern. Turning the straps and facing are slightly more advanced than a true beginner pattern, but we will have full blog and video sewalong in the next few weeks to help you every step of the way.
We are also offering four different types of 3/4" buttons in our shop that are perfect for your Aster top or dress.
We hope you love the new Aster pattern. We will be back soon with lots of additional support including fabric and notion recommendations, tutorials, and sewalongs.
