It's been so long since I had a reason to dress up, I felt like I had to sew something new for my birthday this year. I decided on the Calvin Wrap Dress and this beautiful large scale floral that has stared at me from my stash for way too long. 
I love that the Calvin is really transformed by the fabric you use. I sewed this one up in a large scale floral black rayon crepe. I feel like I could easily wear this to a wedding or similar special event if styled right.
I also have sewn up this pattern in simple cottons and linens. When sewn up in these more casual fabrics it makes a great everyday dress paired with sandals.
II am thrilled with how this Calvin turned out and it feels nice to have something special and a little dressed up in my closet.
