HUDSON SEW ALONG

The Hudson pant is the piece of clothing that you will wear all of the time. It is comfortable enough to wear around the house, but can easily be dressed up to go run errands. The modern fit of these pants leaves a bit of extra room around the hips and then tapers into a skinny leg. View A is a full length pant and View B is midcalf.

ASSEMBLING / CUTTING YOUR PATTERN AND FABRIC

We'll begin working on the Hudson pant pattern by assembling the pattern and cutting fabric.

SEWING THE POCKET

It's time to start constructing the Hudson by attaching the pocket details, pocket linings, and pocket bags to the front leg.

SIDE SEAMS AND CROTCH

In this post we'll construct the pant legs by sewing the side seams and crotch.

SEWING THE WAISTBAND

Now it's time to sew the waistband of the Hudson. We'll make buttonholes, insert elastic, topstitch, and insert the drawstrings for a professional looking finish.

SEWING THE CUFF

Here we'll finish the Hudson sewalong by attaching the leg cuffs.
