We are so excited to introduce our newest sewing pattern, the Ayla pant. When we designed the Ayla pant, we had a few things in mind. It had to be holiday party appropriate, a beginner friendly and quick sew, and comfortable. We think we hit it out of the park.
The Ayla is a knit pant pattern with two views. All views have a fitted waist and hip with a wide leg and an approximate 30" inseam.
View B has paneling with topstitching along the centers of the front and back legs.
All views have a folded under 1.5" elastic waistband (no zippers or any other fiddly closures).
We will talk more about fabric and notions in the coming week, but for now just know that the pattern calls for medium to heavy weight stable knit fabrics with 20% or more stretch. Suggested fabrics include ponte, double knit, french terry, knit jaquard, and stable sweater knit.
All of these samples were sewn up in bottomweight ponte from Stylemaker fabrics.
