Lander Zipper Expansion Pack (PDF)
The Lander Zipper Expansion Pack turns your button fly Lander into a zip fly short or pant. It includes new fly and waistband pattern pieces, a fly extension, and the instructions needed to create this new version.
Please note that this product includes the zipper expansion for both the 0-18 and the 14-32 size ranges. Simply download and use the files for the size range you need.
Note that this is an extention and therefore you must purchase the original Lander pattern to use it. If you still need to purchase the Lander pattern you can do so in two size ranges : 0-18 (here) or 14-32 (here).
Main Fabric: Medium to heavy bottomweight fabrics with little to no stretch, such as twill, linen, corduroy and denim.
Lining Fabric: You will need 1/2 yd of light to medium weight woven fabric for the front pocket linings. Appropriate fabrics include rayon bemberg, cotton voile, quilting cotton, linen, or standard lining fabrics.
- medium weight fusible interfacing (1 yd (sz 0-18) 1.5 yd (sz 14-32)
- 1 jeans button or regular button (5/8” wide or larger)
- heavyweight sewing machine needle
- 1 zipper (size 0 - 4 = 5 inch, size 6 - 12 = 6 inch, size 14 - 18 = 7 in, size 20-26 = 8 in, size 28-32 = 9 in)
