Introducing the Zoey Tank and Dress Sewing Pattern!

I am so excited to be sharing our newest pattern with you today, the Zoey Tank and Dress sewing pattern.

The Zoey came about because I wanted and easy knit top, that felt more elevated than a T-shirt, and would pair easily with some of my high waisted summer pattens like the Dani pants and shorts, Mave skirt, Emerson crop pants and shorts, and the Landers. You can see my models wearing the Zoey in these photos with the Landers, Emersons and Mave.

The Zoey comes in three Views. All Views have the same soft V front neckline, low scoop back neckline, and 5/8" inch straps that are extensions of the neckline and armhole bands.

The difference in the Views comes from the waist down. View A is a fitted cropped tank that ends at the natural waist. It looks great with high-waisted bottoms, but also works great as yoga top worn with leggings.

View B is a fitted tank top ending around the hipline. It can be worn untucked or tucked in and is great as a layering piece or worn on it's own.

View C is a tank dress that begins to flare out below the waist, including positive ease starting at the hips and gently extending to just above the ankles. It has a front and back center seam for extra shaping.

We recommend knit fabrics with at least 25% stretch and good recovery. As a result, fabrics with some spandex work best. We love cotton / spandex blends, T-shirt knits, and rib knits. You can use the same fabric for the entire garment or get 1/3 yd of contrasting fabric for the bands. You will also need coordinating thread and a stretch sewing machine needle for this project. For best results we also recommend HeatnBond soft stretch fusible knit tape and spray starch.

We will be talking more about Fabric and Notions at the end of the week as we prepare for our sewalong happening next week.

The Zoey currently comes in two size ranges - 0-18 and 14-32 and PDF. Check out our listing for more information and photos.
