Introducing the Brynn Cardigan

We are very excited to have a new True Bias pattern releasing today, the Brynn Cardigan. The Brynn comes in two size ranges -  0-18 and 14-32.

The Brynn pattern is a fitted cardigan with a V-neck and front button opening.

View A is sleeveless creating a knit vest style.

View B has a short sleeve ending around the bicep.

View C has long sleeves.

All views can be sewn in three lengths - cropped (ending at the natural waistline), hip length, and a dress length (ending a few inches above the ankle).

The dress view includes a center back seam for extra shaping.

We will talk more about fabric and notions in the coming week, but for now just know that the pattern calls for knit fabrics with at least 60% stretch.
Suggested fabrics include light to medium weight stretch fabrics such as rib knit, sweater knit and jersey fabrics.

The same fabric can be used for the entire cardigan, or a contrasting fabric can be used for the bands.

You are also going to need to source 7/16" buttons and fusible interfacing.

We love the versatility of the Brynn as it can be worn on it's own as a top or dress, but can also be unbuttoned to act as a layering piece.

We have lots of support for the Brynn coming your way over the next few weeks including a full sewalong, tips on fabric choices and fit adjustments, and some fun pattern hacks.

In the meantime, you can purchase the Brynn pattern here.
